Lujosa is a beautiful, kind, well-broke and sound 14-year-old registered Peruvian Paso mare with good bloodlines, which are DNA Certified through UC Davis. She has a pretty head, strong back, well-muscled hip and straight, well-boned legs with solid, hard feet which do not need shoes. Lujosa had a solid foundation under saddle when young; then became a broodmare; and finally was purchased several years ago by her current owners. When saddled and bridled for the first time in years at her new home, she immediately took to riding again. She has safely carried pre-teen girls, 75-year-old Grandpa and a 195 pound man, all with ease. Lujosa is a wonderful trail horse and will lead or follow without a problem. If she leads and is with other 'regular' or slower walking horses, she will leave them behind even at her slowest, natural, gaited walk. That's a good Peruvian for you! But she will also willingly follow behind a slow, poky horse. Lujusa has never bucked nor kicked, has good ground manners including standing well to mount, and loads and hauls perfectly. She is a lovely little mare with a very sweet disposition and is offered to a loving new home where she will be enjoyed on the trails. She is healthy, current on all shots and worming, and lives in Bend, Oregon. Her 'best' friend, the beautiful 13-year-old bay Peruvian gelding DJJR Regalo, is also available if you need two especially smooth, good trail horses.
